Hi,

Is it possible that you can organise me a list of serious hifi shops in Hong Kong. Please include their website addresses as well. Thanks. Matome.

Those Neutrik plugs sound a whole lot more open and less restrained if you take off the spring strain reliefs as they are made from magnetic steel. The rest of the plug including the clamp gland that you can pull off the spring is non magnetic. Worth doing. The new version of this plug has a rubber gland/boot as a strain relief.

Hi Jacky
Thank you. I was thinking maybe Deltrons better than the Neutrik (which btw i have no problems with), I just wanted to try something different. Maybe entend silver through hollow tip solder then solder again at back. I got HGA solder from RKCable in Au ( solder per metre) 4.7% silver, better than my Goot i had. I noticed RKCable had LOK brand RCAs. I thought save the money, the Deltrons migth surprise over the Neutrik. I like the Cardas you reviewed.

Hi Sam,

Thanks for your comment. Yes, I soldered on on the top, but I am not sure if it was designed to be like that. Just make sure you do a solid job and not cold joint and have the solder fall out into your RCA jack : ). They are not the best but they are good value.

Hi JC
Interesting reviews. I have the Neutrik plugs, but i got some Deltron Hollow Pins RCA (man they are micro). Hard to tell silver plating from the nickel. I take my sliver wire through the holow pin to the top and solder from there? I used deoxit red stuff and then gold on the silver.

I used to think that there was not much difference in connectors either. During a DIY project of making interconnects out of the Mogami 2803, an experienced audiophile tipped me off that different plugs would result in a vastly different sound. I terminated two pairs, one using Eichmann's Bullet Plug, and the other Neutrik Pro-fis. The Eichmann terminated one was vastly superior, with a clearer and less metallic sound to it.
